Watermelon

 
     Many people over look the truly amazing the super powers of Watermelon. I personally did for 19 years until 3 months ago. Watermelon is one of the two most alkaline fruits. The other one is lemon. The body can become very acidic from foods like meat, eggs, milk, cheese, packaged tv dinners, and carbonated drinks. Where fruits, veggies, nuts, beans, and seaweed is very alkaline for your body.
     So what happens when you eat a more alkaline diet? You start to reverse future heart attacks, aging, colon cancer, arthritis, kidney stones, and diabetes. How is watermelon so powerful? It contains beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin C, Lycopene, protein, potassium, and fiber. Watermelon is great for working snacks or meals out because it gives you energy, fixes your sugar craving, and helps burn fat. Another amazing fact about watermelon is that it was prized as a portable water source from its home in the desserts of Africa. Even explorers used to use watermelons as canteens! Watermelons come in over 1,200 different species! So, there is plenty to go around!!


     I just ate some after dinner! Yum Yum Yum!!
