How To: Practice Positivity

Find yourself down in the dumps but you dont want to be? Try one of these exercises to practice positivity! Feel free to customize any of these exercises to your unique needs.
Dance! Dancing includes health benefits for everyone. Dancing makes you smarter, releases stress, is anti-aging, increases serotonin level, and helps heal dementia faster than any other physical activity. Let your body go and follow the rhythm. Even if you dance like an idiot for fun, Dance! If anyone sees you and thinks your weird. Keep Dancing. You will most likely laugh at yourself which raises positive power. Lighting two candles with one flame!

Number 2:

Breath! Practice taking deep breaths. Give your body the oxygen and all the life force air provided by the earth that your body needs and deserves. Maybe just find a comfortable spot in your home anywhere from a carpeted floor, yoga matt, comfy chair, or even better, outside in the grass! Sit and just focus on breathing. Breath In Love & Breath Out Peace.

Number 3:

Go Outside! Being outside and going into nature are some of the quickest fixes to raise your positive energy. Go out into different parts of nature! Go to the beach, a wild preserve, a state park forest,  a spring, a pond, or any other natural place in nature that is close by to you. Spend as much time as you can outside at least once a day. Go out side and dance, breath, meditate, paint, draw, play music,  take pictures, or just sit under a tree and read!

Number 4:

Practice Yoga! Yoga is an amazing way to stretch, tone, strengthen, and balance your body. Plus it feels amazing to stretch and breath! It is so calming and awakening. What is also cool about yoga is that it has many levels. There are a few simple stretches you could do everyday to help open up your body for the new day. Sun Salutation is my favorite to do a couple times throughout the day because it is simple and gets all the main spots I need stretched out. Click on the picture to get a bigger visual!

Number 5:

Be Creative! Use your uniqueness and create something! Whatever talent or hobby you enjoy practice it regularly even if its drawing a small little doodle once a day and keeping a doodle portfolio. You could paint a picture, take a picture, make 3-D art, sew & make clothes and etc., write a poem or an essay, write a song, play an instrument, make a video, record a song, gardening, make a craft and sell it on Etsy or give it to a friend or loved one as a gift! You know your talents. Practice them everyday.

Number 6:

Eat Clean Food! Remember the saying, "you are what you eat..."? Well, it is very true. When it comes to food and it's origin and ingredients it is more important than we would like to believe. Try to eat as much fruit and veggies as possible. Make sure they are REAL and not GMO (genetically modified). GMO foods cause cancer and other dis-eases of the body. GMOs are hidden everywhere in our food today. The best way to know, is to grow your own! It would also help you be outside at least once a day to have a garden. Tending to a garden would also boost your creativity! Also, try to stay away from these ingredients: maltodextrin, MSG (monosodium glutamate), high fructose corn syrup,   aspartame, artificial food coloring (Blue 1, Yellow 2, etc.), and all artificial sweeteners! Go on a Juice Feast (Juice Fast) and boost your confidence and control over your mind.

Number 7:

Compliment Someone! You know how it makes you feel warm inside when someone says they like your shirt, necklace, shoes, or your face. So why not share that warm feeling with a stranger or a friend at least once a day. Not only do you make their positivity blossom but you bring yours up too so everyone wins! Or you could also just smile! A smile or laugh can brighten a day quicker than anything else. Watch a funny movie or like someones website!

Number 8:

Be The Change You Want To See! If you feel negative because your unhappy with your surroundings, you can always change it! That is the beauty of life. Somethings never change, but somethings do and you can make them change. You are a powerful creative being of energy and impulse. Every choice you make is a vote from the words you say, to the food you buy, down to the thoughts you think. If you don't like the words you say, food you buy, or thoughts you think, then it's time to pack up and move on to a new adventure and a new answer to a new question. Challenge yourself into new beginnings and you will grow closer to yourself. You can do anything and anything is possible.

Number 9:

Let The Chi Flow! Organizing your living space or working space will help raise your chi (energy). Feng Shui is a great example of positive and productive organizing. This will also help you clear your mind and you can dance or listen to music while you do it. Once you have your perfect set up to the bagua you will defiantly be feeling that positive healing energy!

Number 10:

Love: Love is all you need. It is all we need. But you cannot spread love to others until your spread it through yourself. Just like you cannot teach someone to swim if you never learned or attempted to learn. Loving yourself righteously is the most important thing we can all do individually. If you meditate remind yourself to thank the universe of creation for every piece of your body that you own. Write down all that you are grateful and only concentrate on that and love will build inside and bring you everything you need to be happy. The universe works at it's own pace though. So when you get impatient remember to breath. Ignore the negative thoughts. If you feed them they will consume you. So when you feel anger, jealousy, or hate in your tummy think of a beautiful, epic, or funny moment. You are what you think all day. Keep those thoughts positive!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope all of this page helps when you feel your positive levels draining. We all have our good days and bad days. Sometimes we need help up and sometimes we need to help ourselves. Have a beautiful day and thanks for reading!

Love & Light
